Position Summary:

The Projects Coordinator will report to the Programme Manager- Field Implementation. He/she will play an important role by taking responsibility for field projects related to AA and BNP nutrition in districts Dadu and Qamber ShahdadKot. He/She shall oversee field team and sub-office operations, organizing and managing data and information from the project team, and consolidating reports and inputs as per donor guidelines and policies while ensuring program quality.

Job Duties:

  • Coordinate and maintain close working relations with project government and non-government counterparts including PDMA Sindh, relevant DDMAs, line departments, and working group members.
  • Oversee field office operations, supervise DRR and nutrition field teams and technical consultants/experts, and resolve operational challenges, with a certain degree of autonomy in managing issues related to the daily implementation of the activities.
  • Oversee and assign field staff relevant responsibilities including field visits for project activities including Community mobilization, Activity Implementation, Data management, Project monitoring, Baseline, End line, Post Distribution Monitoring (PDM), Pre-KAP and Post-KAP surveys, as per the project Detailed  Implementation Plan (DIP).
  • Develop project monthly interim and final narrative reports as per the standard reporting template and submit weekly progress updates to Senior Management against the Detailed Implementation Plan (DIP).
  • Coordinate multiple field interventions and assigned field staff to ensure optimum utilization of project assets, equipment, and means of use.
  • Train field team on HA’s basic principles, policies, approach to humanitarian interventions, codes of conduct etc.
  • Update the project work plan/Detail Implementation Plan, and monitor that the implementation of the activities respects the timetable milestones and deadlines.
  • At the field level, establish and maintain contacts with other actors involved in the implementation process (local authorities, beneficiaries, and their representatives, other humanitarian organizations, etc.) and report to the Programme Manager- Field Implementation any information, communications, or requests, originating from them.
  • Represent HA and regularly participate in relevant cluster/working groups to share project updates and progress.
  • Develop a good knowledge of the intervention areas, communities, socio-economic conditions, needs, and constraints.

 

  • Be available for any other tasks directly related to the activities of HA in different geographical locations in Districts Dadu and Qamber Shahdadkot.
  • Conduct regular field visits, at least 20% of the time, to oversee and monitor field operations.
  • Any other job-related added task assigned by the supervisor.

 

Qualification and Experience

  • University degree in Disaster Risk management, social sciences, or management sciences or related field.
  • Mandatory knowledge and understanding of conditional cash transfers programming;
  • At least 3 years’ experience working on humanitarian, nutrition and resilience building projects preferably with INGOs.
  • Experience in the provision of administrative and logistical support and organization of workshops
  • Experience in research, analysis, and report writing;
  • Experience in working with government officials and non-governmental organizations;
  • Demonstrated experience in working in complex working environments;
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office software packages (MS Word, Excel, Access etc.) and experience in handling web-based applications

Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of PSEA, Protection & GBV, Gender & Inclusiveness in recovery context.  
  • Knowledge of low cost structural mitigation activities.
  • Ability to communicate in local languages
  • Administrative skills in order to work with people at managerial and occasionally, senior government levels
