Position Summary:

He/ She shall be responsible for overall field training logistics and operations support for the FAO project activities.
Organizational Setting:

Human Appeal is implementing community outreach activities following structured learning process based on the Farmer Field School (FFS) approach to encourage collective problem solving, demand-led and locally appropriate responses that blend traditional and improved scientifically proven adaptation options.
Reporting Line:

The incumbent will work under the overall supervision of Programme Manager- Field Implementation and will work closely with Project Coordinator. He/ She shall be based at district Shaheed Benazirabad, Sindh. The direct supervisor or as assigned, will be responsible for all day-to-day supervision, technical guidance and the performance evaluation.

Technical Focus:

The incumbent will provide relevant technical assistance for efficient field training and related logistics of the FAO supported project. Critical to ensuring all MOVs of the project are fulfilled.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Assist in the submission of field trainings related procurement files to the country office and payment follow-ups.
• To update the procurement folders regularly and ensure that all procurement documents are collected with high attention to transparency.
• Assist in contracts management, renewals tracking, and follow-ups.
• Ensure the maintenance and repairs of assets and properties promptly.
• Assess the need for additional equipment/premises.
• Supervise and coordinate all project related logistic matters relating to transport and fuel management, to ensure that vehicles are insured, asset managed correctly, being driven safely, maintained appropriately, and damages are reported.
• Organize field movements for staff members (flight and hotel booking, rental taxi, etc.)
• Ensure that vehicle internal equipment (tools, communications etc) is complete and serviceable; and that usage of fuel is correctly supervised, logged and recorded.

Qualification and Experience:

• Minimum academic qualification is Graduation.
• Experience in the submission of procurement files to the country office and payment follow-ups.
• Experience in contracts management, renewals tracking, and follow-ups.

Skills and Abilities:

• Good understanding of community participation and the integration of DRR in recovery projects.
• Knowledge of PSEA, Protection & GBV, Gender & Inclusiveness in recovery context. 
• Knowledge of low cost structural mitigation activities.
• Ability to communicate in local languages.
• Diplomacy, tact and administrative skills in order to work with people at managerial and occasionally, senior government levels.
